TG Lifestyle Collective was founded by Tonya A. Glenn — an event producer with twenty-five years of experience, an MBA, and a conviction that the room she wanted to be in didn't exist yet.

Over fifteen years, she produced more than 300 events — originating the Day Party format in Charlotte in 2005, bringing major cultural talent to rooms that had never seen them, and watching strangers leave as people who still knew each other years later. She built The Smart Effect into a boutique strategic consulting firm serving federal agencies and Fortune 500 clients. She served communities. She designed experiences for other people's visions.

And through all of it, she was designing something else in her mind.

A room rooted in the diaspora's cultural richness. Sophisticated without being pretentious. Warm without being casual. A room where a professional who moves through the world with intention could feel genuinely at home — not as a demographic, not as a market segment, but as a person whose taste and community and heritage deserved the kind of evening usually reserved for someone else's idea of who belongs in those rooms.
